We are stepping up our prepping, because the national & international financial pictures do not look good. Bankers around the world are retiring (i.e., bailing out); corporate insiders are dumping stock options; the 70 trillion dollar derivatives market is threatening to unravel; there's a good possibility for a second round in the housing/mortgage crisis later this year, and so forth.
I really recommend that you make a list of your current top prepping needs and do something toward filling those needs. Every step, no matter how small, will help.
Even if you stop in at your local dollar tree and pick up one or two items, you will at least be moving in the right direction.
Also, don't forget that judicious preparation must include knowledge and skills. Mere "stuff" cannot replace know-how.
Your most valuable knowledge will be what you know of God's Word, and your most valuable skill will be prayer.
