40 years ago, you would see the bumper sticker:
WHEN GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS
Today, I saw:
WHEN GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS AND GOVERNMENTS WILL HAVE GUNS
Isn't it sad that my first thought was that the statement was redundant?
Just for clarification, redundant in what way? As in old news? Agreed.
ReplyDeleteMy point was an obtuse attempt at the wry observation that a government that disarms its own citizens IS criminal. Thus, "outlaws and governments" would be redundant.
